Bodies of Water - Storytelling in Flux

We sweat, we sneeze, we cry, we spit, we pee, we ejaculate into the world. We experience touch, transformation, connection as well as distance, stagnation and isolation. Yet we are never sole. Yet we are never standing still. We are habitats. Each square centimeter of our skin hosts at least 10 million bacteria. Each moment our cells perform a dance interpreting and rewriting our DNA. We are portals. We reach through ourselves into the world. Moving through the images we try to grow into. Projected on us by fellow humans, culture, science, society, media and ourselves. We are multitudes. Performing our species – physicality, gender, age. Elusive, timeless and agile. The body felt and imagined by ourselves always becoming. Moving in time and space, our younger and older selves sitting next to us on the bus. The light shines through the window. We watch a mosquito on the glass. Our forearms are starting to itch. We take a look at our smartphone screen. Browsing through hundreds of images – a waterfall of bodies, faces, fur. We feel the blood pulsing through our veins, the air entering our lungs. We are waters. Our fingers touching the skin below the screen.
